Moss Drops - Adopt a Drops
One of a kind, hand knitted Drops
Droplus mossicus
Discovered deep in the forests of the North Yorkshire Moors, this Moss Drop is noticeably darker than most recorded specimens.
His deep greens, mossy yellows and earthy shadows provide particularly good camouflage amongst old trees, damp moss and the darker corners of the forest floor. He wears two soft green ribbons around his neck, along with a tiny bell and silver leaf.
Temperament
Gentle, observant and quietly adventurous. Much happier wandering through the woods than being the centre of attention.
Drawn to humans who
Feel better after they’ve been outside, collect little treasures on walks and occasionally need reminding that there’s really no rush.
Known for
Encouraging slower days, quiet adventures and noticing the small things that are very easy to miss.
Likes
Mossy stones, old trees, the smell of rain, cups of tea outdoors, interesting sticks and pockets with mysterious contents.
Dislikes
Being hurried, perfectly manicured lawns, loud noises in quiet places and people who say, “it’s just a stick.”
About Adopt a Drop
Every now and then, a fully grown Drop is discovered looking for somewhere new to live.
Adopt a Drop specimens are individually hand knitted by me and no two will ever be exactly alike. They are not made to order and I don’t take commissions. When one appears, that’s the only one available.
Your Drop will arrive with their own handwritten Individual Field Record, recording their species, discovery and peculiar characteristics.
One specimen available. Ready to leave for their new home.
